New Eyes

 In Personal Style, Style

I have this small body of photography work from when I studied abroad called “New Eyes”. I think about it every time I get to explore a city, particularly new ones. Lately I’ve been thinking on the work again, and will soon be appropriating and adapting my own concept into an entirely new direction. Still, I think about having New Eyes and the excitement being in a new places gives me. This time around was Philadelphia. This was my 4th trip out there, but every time I see a slightly different perspective of the city.

Thanks to my best friend Winnie, and her boyfriend, David (who both took my photos–thank you, I love you two!), I was able to see some other new facets of Philly. It was also woven into some Old Eyes feelings, too. It’s funny to me to think I know a city well enough to know where I am without having been there longer than a month, collectively, over a few years.

Lastly, these Levi’s are my liiiiiiife. I thrifted these about 8 years ago and didn’t wear them until just over a year ago for the first time! They’re the easiest throw on. I wear them with any and every top and they’re just as perfect for running errands as they are for dressing up to go out. All about a versatile wardrobe!

Wearing:
Are You Am I Wylie Tank
Vintage Levi’s (similar)
Jeffrey Campbell LoFi Sneakers
Wildfox Steff Spectacles (optical quality; sold out, on sale as sunglasses)
